Former Hogan Lovells lawyer Salomé Lemasson has struck out on her own with the establishment of SL Avocat, a Franco-German law firm specializing in white-collar crime with offices in Berlin and Paris.
Admitted to practice law in France and Germany, Lemasson has extensive cross-border experience having worked for a decade at major US law firms in Paris, Berlin and the UK, such as Gibson Dunn and Hogan Lovells.
Her new firm will focus on representing top tier companies and high net worth individuals in sensitive, high-stakes matters involving international sanctions, fraud, corruption and money laundering.
Its clientele will include large industrial conglomerates targeted by parallel World Bank and African Development Bank investigations into alleged fraud and corruption related to infrastructure projects in West Africa, South-East Asia and the Indian Ocean.
She has worked on numerous cross-border matters related to international sanctions, including advising companies on how EU and UN sanctions imposed on Russia may affect their activities and managing cases relating to Myanmar and Central Africa.
Salomé Lemasson has been a member of the Paris Bar Association since 2014, and of its Berlin equivalent since 2020. She has law degrees from Sciences Po Paris and George Washington University, in Washington DC. A member of the International Bar Association, the European Criminal Bar Association, and Women in White Collar Defence Association, Lemasson speaks English, Spanish and German, in addition to her native tongue, French.
